The tradition of gathering, preparing for and cooking Zapotec cuisine is part of the mix that is Oaxacan gastronomy and still practiced in Teotitlan del Valle. Her goal and that of her familia is to promote the cuisine of Michoacan and Oaxaca as “intangible” UNESCO heritage assets. Her family restaurant and cooking School in Oaxaca pays homage to her grandmothers roots and of those before here.
